… what Strickland promised to do as governor if elected, it’s all re-posted, issue by issue, on his new transition website.
The main business of a governor’s transition is finding and hiring new people for the thin crust of non-civil service (i.e. management and policy) jobs at the top of various agencies and offices. Telling all the people who want one of those jobs that the job description includes keeping the governor’s campaign promises is an interesting move.
I ran into Strickland’s campaign web guy, Jesse Taylor (formerly of Pandagon), in the Statehouse parking lot the other day. He and a couple of companions were trying to figure out whether an office they were looking for was in the Riffe or Rhodes building. Jesse said he was working on the transition site. Nice work, Jesse!
