Put it on the ballot

In case anybody’s wondering, I’ve signed the petition to put the Convention Center Sales Tax on the ballot. And I’ve got a couple of petitions to circulate, which I’m doing — slowly up to now, but I fully intend to contribute at least a couple hundred signatures.

Why? Well, because of this. And this. And this, too. But mostly because I can think of so many more productive ways to spend invest a billion new tax dollars in this community.

If you agree, get your petitions here.

Others say that a sales tax increase is regressive, it is, but that is not why I do it. [...]
