As a former Clevelander it saddens me to hear about all the foreclosures and negativity coming out of Cleveland.
As to this mortgage meltdown. As usual nobody wants to accept responsibility for poor choices! Hey folks when you read your loan docs (if you read them) what did you think A.R.M. stood for? Surely you didn’t think the lender was referring to the arm on your body! Your home might not be foreclosed on if you had paid your bills on time, had good credit and a good fico score. With a high fico score you would have been able to obtain a great interest rate with a 30 yr. fixed loan.
As the old expression goes “if you can’t afford it don’t buy it.”
