178 sheriff’s deeds were filed with the Cuyahoga County Recorder’s Office in the past week (November 5 through November 9).

Here’s who filed five or more of them:

Remember, these are the names on the final sheriff’s deeds — i.e. the institutions that now hold title to the foreclosed properties. But 29 of the past week’s 178 sheriff’s deeds were filed in the names of guarantor agencies (HUD, the VA, the FNMA, and the FHLMC) rather than the names of the foreclosing lenders themselves.

Checking those 29 sheriff’s deeds to see which lenders actually filed the foreclosures, and plugging the results into this week’s “five or more” list, here’s what we get…
